We absolutely adore the Drakensberg in KZN , and Qambathi lodge was no exception ! Stacey & Andrew are the nicest , down to earth , animal loving creative humans and we just clicked with them so well . We left the day before their wedding to fly up to KZN , got abit lost along the way to Qambathi but finally arrived , greeted by Stacey & Andrew and their amazing family , we shared a wonderful meal and chatted about the excitement for the next day . Finally their wedding day was upon us , the cool mountain air & the sunshine  poured through the pine tree’s , Qambathi was alive with the sound’s of the morning and the amazing creature’s that lived there . Stacey , Andrew and their mom’s & sister had done the decor all themselves , it was a mix of natural colour’s & crystal honey jar’s and all little artworks Stacey had made herself , it was simple & truly stunning . Stacey’s sister did every bodies make up ( boy did she work her butt off , but did such a great job ) , it was truly a family affair , with everybody lending a hand where needed . We suggested doing a first look with them and they loved the idea , we where so pleased because its truly such a special moment that they got to share which calmed their nerve’s ( poor Andrew was so excited to see his lovely bride , he almost passed out ) .

Their ceremony was relaxed & filled with love , everybody who was there was important to them and there was only 12 guest’s in total including us , it was truly a beautiful & family filled day , we got to know everybody there on a personal level and it was amazing ! also Sadie the farm dog who followed us everywhere , like a a little guide was the cutest thing ! Thank you to Qambathi Lodge & your team , you guys where amazing and we will be back for sure ! But most of all thank you to Stacey & Andrew and their family , you all are now life long friends and we cherish the adventures and seeing you all grow , for us that’s priceless  .
